Web Design for Birmingham Businesses.

A website that brings in customers, loads fast on a phone, shows up when people search locally, and belongs to you. Fixed price in writing before we start.

Based in Chelsea. Building for businesses across Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook, Homewood, Trussville and greater Birmingham.

Sound Familiar?

Most Business Websites Are Not Doing Their Job.

These are the four things we hear most often on a first call. If one of them is you, the fix is usually less dramatic than you think.

The site does not bring in work

It has your logo and your phone number and that is about it. Nobody finds it, and the people who do cannot tell within five seconds what you do or why they should call. A website is a salesperson that works overnight, or it is a business card.

It was built on a page builder and now it is slow

Page-builder sites collect plugins the way a garage collects boxes. Each one slows the page down and each one needs patching. Google notices the speed. So do customers on a phone with two bars of signal.

You cannot get changes made

The person who built it moved on, or charges for every edit, or takes three weeks to answer. New hours, a new service, a price change. Each one sits undone and the site slowly stops matching the business.

You do not actually own it

The domain is in the old developer's account, the hosting is on their card, the login is a mystery. If they disappear, so does the site. Everything we set up goes in your name from day one.

What You Get

Everything a Site Needs to Earn Its Keep.

No templates. We start from what your business does and who needs to find it, and design from there. The words matter as much as the pictures, so we write them with you rather than leaving you a blank box.

We build in Next.js, which means no plugins to patch, no admin login to attack, and pages that load in well under a second. Your site will be faster than your competitors', and Google rewards that.

Included in Every Site

  • Custom design around your business, not a theme with your logo dropped in
  • Copy written with you, in plain English, for the people you actually sell to
  • Local search set up properly: Google Business Profile, service pages, schema
  • Fast on a phone, which is where most of your visitors are
  • Contact forms and calls that reach you, tested before launch
  • Analytics you can read, and a walkthrough so you know what it says
  • Hosting, domain and email sorted, with the accounts in your name
How It Works

Four Steps. You See the Price at Step Two.

01

A short call

Twenty to thirty minutes. What you do, who you sell to, what the site needs to make happen. We will look at the current site and your competitors before the call.

02

A written proposal with a fixed price

Pages, features, timeline and the number, in writing. If you want something we think you do not need, we will say so and take it off the quote.

03

Design you see early

The homepage first, on a real link you can open on your phone. Changes are cheap at this stage, so this is when we ask for them.

04

Launch, then care

We handle the domain, hosting and go-live. Afterward, a care plan keeps it patched, backed up and current, or we hand you the keys and step back.

What Clients Say

Such a great experience working with these guys. We have had difficulties finding companies we can communicate well with in the past and the Phaseable team exceeded all our expectations. Highly recommended.

Paul was great to work with. We had a tight deadline and Paul was very responsive well beyond 9-5. I wouldn't look anywhere else for Shopify/website help.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a website cost?

Most small business sites start at $3,500. A site with more pages, e-commerce, booking, or a customer login costs more, and we will tell you the number in a written proposal before you commit to anything. Financing over twelve months is available, which puts a new site in the range of a monthly software subscription rather than a lump sum. Changes after launch are covered by a care plan from $79 a month, or billed at $150 an hour, quoted first.

How long does it take?

A typical small business site is four to six weeks from the first call to launch. The part that usually takes longest is content: photos, the list of services, the words. We help with all of that, and we will tell you up front what we need from you so nothing stalls.

What do you build sites in?

Next.js, hosted on Vercel. In plain terms: the site is a set of fast static pages with no admin panel to break into and no plugins to patch. It loads quickly, it does not go down when a plugin updates overnight, and any competent developer can work on it after us. For a store we will often use Shopify, because it is the right tool for that job.

Can you fix or refresh my existing site instead?

Sometimes that is the right answer, and we will say so. If the site is on a hosted platform and the bones are fine, a refresh and a care plan may be all you need. If it is slow, insecure, or built on something nobody can maintain, a rebuild often costs less over two years than the upkeep it replaces. We will do that arithmetic with you honestly.

Will I be able to make changes myself?

Yes, if you want to. Most clients would rather send us an email and have it done, which is what the care plan is for. Either way you own the site, the domain and the hosting account, and you can take it elsewhere at any time.

Do you do SEO?

Local search is built into every site: the right pages, the right structure, a properly set up Google Business Profile, and schema so Google understands what you do and where. Ongoing local SEO, the monthly work of reviews, citations and content, is available as an add-on to a care plan. We will tell you whether your market actually needs it.

Do you only work with businesses in Birmingham?

Most of our website clients are in the Birmingham metro: Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook, Homewood, Trussville, Pelham, Alabaster and Chelsea. Being local means we can meet in person and we understand the market you are selling into. The work itself is remote, so we also build for clients well outside Alabama.

Want a Site That Actually Brings In Work?

Tell us what you do and send the current site if there is one. You will get an honest read and a fixed number, and if a refresh would do the job we will say so.
